Tribute to an icon of progressive democracy, inclusive leadership & defender of the oppressed AKETI

With an heavy heart, dark cloud hovering around my mindset, tears sliding down my jaws, I confess that the demise of Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu is a huge loss and depreciation to the world of justice in Nigeria, as a defender of the oppressed from Owo, Southwest Nigeria transcends to the realm above.

Arakunrin as profoundly called among our people for his desire for equity and fairness, his remarkable voice gave strength to the establishment of the community policing initiative across Yoruba land codename "Amotekun Corps'' to defend the oppressed farmers and other natives of rural settlement who were constantly harrased, killed, rapedb and kidnapped by mercenaries disguising as herders in Southwest Nigeria.

Akeredolu leadership qualities was divined and distinguished him from other politicians from Ondo state. His vision, Ideologies and projects across grassroots of Ondo state will have an everlasting impacts on the good people of Ondo state, marking a lifetime legacies of growth and development.

I didn't have opportunity to work with you directly but most of your initiatives and approach to challenges across private and public sector, always resonate with my school of thought and the Rebuild Afrika Academy.

One of the elder statesman from Nigeria whose lifetime was devoted to fighting and advocating for the right causes that could benefit omo Oduduwa and Nigeria at large.
