With some months into the anticipated general election to determine the future of the most populous black nation on earth and home to over 300 ethnic nationalities, the federal republic of Nigeria as a democratic nation made up of different nations will be going to the poll to decide who steers the wheel of the country for the years ahead.
With many elites whispering if the threatening insecurity will allow election to hold, Nigerians in their thousands are registering and collecting their voters card as one of the criteria required to cast a vote in any ongoing election in our beautiful country.
While many are ready for the election, some agents of destabilization working for the shadow government with authority linked to the sahel are spreading themselves across the 36 states of the federation unleashing hell and terrorising local inhabitants as to make the country ungovernable and election too risky to hold.
Election is only possible when the country is at peace, the absence of peace can forestall progress and development, and no international observer and local agents wants to participate in an election where his/her safe return home is not promised.
With volunteer security groups, concern citizens, local hunters and others supporting security forces in combing forest reserves where these invaders hides and operate from in the Southwest geo political zones, the benue and people of plateau state are still counting their losses on a daily basis despite the presence of security personnels in their local community to give a sense of security.
The mass burial scenes from plateau state, gory scenes of massacre in Kwara state, Benue state, Niger state, memories of school children kidnapped in schools in Ogbomosho and rising wave of kidnapping of traditional rulers, travellers and businessmen have prompted people like Sunday Igboho to rise up in addressing the threat to our collective peace.
Although many keyboard warriors and others who have not fought for anything of note in their lifetime or confront the insecurity whether through pen (writing of insightful, eye opening and solution based article) or sword (forming or joining a volunteer security group or leading of search and rescue into the bush) in helping the worsening situation. These local morons enriched in their foolishness joined others to label the effort of the OPC, Iru Ekun and other groups as "Drama or script making" without providing alternative solutions and approaches in tackling the problem, discrediting the efforts of those working while hiding behind their keyboards.
With reprisal attacks from local communities against the Fulani armed gangs who are not indigenous to these communities but have been caught to be responsible for banditry, kidnapping and waging of islamic jihad on people of Nigeria. They hide behind cattle rearing in town to map the areas, while giving signals to the killer machines hiding in the forest reserves to strike the villages, towns and other settlements in a coordinated attack leaving sorrow, tears and blood (regular trademark).
The ethnic nationalities of Nigeria are clamouring for firearms, encouraging their youths to acquire arms to defend their homeland and combing their forest area to forestall further attacks by invading mercenaries disguising as herders and scavengers. Some are already questioning the reason behind the Fulani ethnic group occupying the forest area and creating another community in the forest with an authority that runs parallel against the traditional ruler of such communities.
These pattern have been overlooked for many years but the recent blood thirsty campaign of some Fulani herders have made many indigenous communities afraid of Fulani living in their forest and questioning the rationale behind their occupation of their ancestral land, and later coming to attack them in the night from the forest.
The Yoruba man living in sokoto don't live in the forest, the igbo man doing business in Kaduna don't reside in the forest, the Hausa man working in Ibadan don't live in the bush, the ijaw man trading in Bornu don't occupy sambisa forest, why can't the Fulanis live among the people or stay where they can be seen? except there is an ulterior motive and crafty scheme to hijack established authority of the land and wage war of annexation in future years from the occupied forest.
