The African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a democratic and political organization is an institution established on the foundation of collective commitment, transformation and inclusion.
The party was originally named "Alliance for Democratic Change" when it was formed in 2005, but renamed the African Democratic Congress by the time the party was registered with the Nigerian Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The recent coalition arrangements at the National level have expanded the scope of the party and also welcoming individuals and groups into the party for the purpose of collective growth, development and expansion in preparation for the electoral task ahead.
The coalition was birthed from months of negotiations among political heavyweights across parties who decided to adopt the platform of the party, as the party is not known to be enmeshed in corrupt political practices and in-house fighting like other political parties that betrayed it founding principles and values, and also betrayed the trust of the good people of Nigeria and Ondo state in the time past.
The party is welcoming members of coalition and all Nigerians into the fold but saboteurs and other people scheming to hijack the structure of the party will not be tolerated.
The Constitution of the party instructed officials of the party to expel individuals or groups working with outsiders to destroy the party from within, and the party will not hesitate to take up legal action against individuals or groups working against the objective and established mission of ADC in Ondo state.
The Party leadership under the direction of Asiwaju (Barrister) Wole Ademoyegun in the sunshine state is giving the opportunity of realignment to members of the party who have been misled in the past months to reunite with the party for the purpose of progress and oneness.
