The proposed protest in Nigeria due to hardship and bad governance is a welcome development, but there is need for precaution and looking beyond the mere surface of protest but unraveling the hidden agenda behind the scheme by external factors and enemies of the Nigerian state.
The President Tinubu Led government recently marked one year in democratic administration, but large percentage of the Population of the most populous black nation on earth are groaning due to hardship, inflation, insecurity in some part of the country and the necessary reform the government has undertaking to facilitate national development and cohesion.
The economic reforms, rearrangement of political institutions and settings, implementation of certain policies by this present administration have led to criticisms and generated oppositions from different quarters who are looking for every available opportunity to sabotage the progress the administration have achieved in recent times with every available means.
Although, the cost of living is on the rise, exchange rate is not encouraging international trade, inflation is crippling indigenous SMEs with potentials of reducing unemployment, insecurity affecting farming communities and other maladies currently battling with our dear nation.
No kingdom exist without enemies, no government without opposition and no leader without foes. The politicians and businessmen who are not in the good book of the present administration due to their ideologies and unfair business practices by their monopolistic nature are looking for every available means to retaliate and sabotage the Tinubu Led Government by hiding under the proposed protest and sponsoring armed hoodlums, bandits, mercenaries, terrorists into the country to hijack the demonstration.
The recent occurrence and trends across the following countries e. g Kenya & Bangladesh are pointers that external actors in collaboration with internal extremist and other scavengers are waiting to usurp the protest in Nigeria to bring down the government and national assets.
I'm using this medium not to discourage the protesters but advising them especially the youths to thread with caution to avoid being the scapegoat and caught in between cross fire of a grand war of proxies codenamed protest.
