Marriage is an institution established on order for the purpose of legacy building sustained by mutual respect and it's widely belief to be a micro unit of every society.

Today, many people are going into marriages without understanding the guiding principles that made marriage withstand the many storms and pressures in the days of our father's and forefathers.

Social vices are increasing in every society with a link to broken marriages, with the trend of single parenting gradually becoming a culture among the women who wants to take on the role of the men, disrespecting the men in front of their children and neighbors, abandoning one of the foundational principles every solid marriage is built on "RESPECT".

Ladies of this age wants men without being submissive, but wants to take on the characteristics and roles of the men in the relationship (A recipe for argument and domestic violence), abusing and cursing the men whenever they demand for accountability.

According to the scriptures, the book of proverb chapter 21 verse 19 emphasizes the need for men to protect their peace and avoid troublesome women so that their lives won't be cut short at the peak of their glory "19 It is better to dwell in a desert land than with a troublesome, contentious, disrespectful woman and with vexation."

Marriage is not built on temporary feelings and emotions, it's a lifetime partnership where both partners respect each other, support one another, sacrifice for mutual development and raising of children who will preserve their ancestral legacy.

In West Africa, many men are dying at a young age and numbers of landladies increasing. Many have attributed this to the problems of marrying the wrong person. The youths and couples of today have abandoned spiritual evaluation, character assessment, family lineage, blood group and futuristic insights when choosing a woman for marriage, they allow civilization, emotions, beauty, materials, peer and family pressure to override their intelligence, they ignore red flags in dissatisfactory behaviours during courtship and make decision majority later regret.

While many ladies are looking for men for material upgrade which will later be discarded after achieving the purpose of the Union, whereas many men are genuinely looking for who they can build and settle down with.

In class, when the lecture is about to begin the lecturer will say "settle down", in marriages, when the couple agreed to live with one another it is also term" settle down ", because marriage is also a learning institution that takes forever for it graduation.

Many allow pregnancy to pressure them into marriage, forgetting that childbearing is just a department in the institution called marriage.

As a woman, if you cannot follow his lead, if you cannot respect him, if you cannot build with him when he's rich and when he's down, don't marry him. As broken home leads to broken society, a broken home raise broken children, a broken family raise desperate boys, a broken family raise dishonest and sad girls, sad girls become dangerous ladies, desperate boys formed dangerous gangs, dangerous gangs terrorize peaceful society, dangerous ladies raise children without morals and society gradually becomes valueless with decaying morals becoming the lifestyle.
