HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY

For long, society viewed power, authority and decision-making rites as connoting masculinity and maleness, thus excluding women in the exercise of these very important social rites.

Over the years however, women have confronted these gendered restrictions through their activism and their political and social struggles geared towards ensuring social justice across all sectors of society.

It has been proven that education is one of the most important means of empowering women with the knowledge, skills and self-confidence necessary to participate fully in the development process.

Empowering women in the economy and closing gender gaps in the world of work are key to achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
